What a lesson looks like
Every lesson starts with a water safety assessment: coaches look at the day's conditions and explain currents, tidal pushes and how to move through the lineup. Next comes technique practice on the sand. Then you go in the water, where coaches push you into your first waves and adjust as you go.
Intermediate and advanced surfers can book high-performance coaching with video review.

Huntington Beach is a long, open beach break that faces south-southwest and catches swell year-round, which is why it's called Surf City. The pier focuses waves and crowds.
