About Let's Go Surf School
The school's mission is to share surfing with people who want to learn and people who never had the chance. What a lesson looks like
Private and group lessons run 2 hours: 20–30 minutes of training on the beach, then the rest in the water with your instructor. With a cap of 3 students per instructor, every lesson is close to a private session. Board, wetsuit, leash and sunblock are all included.
Bolsa Chica for beginners
Bolsa Chica is the long, sandy state beach north of Huntington Beach's downtown pier. It's usually less crowded than the pier and has room to spread out. It picks up the same swells as Huntington, so check our Huntington Beach Pier Northside forecast: a Poor-to-Fair rating at 1–3 ft is a good learning day. The school only takes kids 8 and up in small surf.

Kids 8 and older, families who want small-group attention, and anyone who wants a longer 2-hour session to get comfortable in the water.
Policies to know
Students must be able to swim at least 50 meters. Arrive 15 minutes early; latecomers forfeit the lesson. Rescheduling needs 24 hours' notice. Lessons and gift vouchers are valid for 6 months. For lessons within 24 hours, call for availability.
